REINFORCEMENT BARS.
The photograph shown is of a swaged bar of Firth Staybrite specially designed for reinforcement work.
Considerable quantities of Firth Staybrite Steel are being applied to the reinforcement of concrete structures which, owing to weather or local conditions, are exposed to water.
Over 120 tons of Staybrite bars were recently used in the cement grouting of the eight piers supporting the dome of St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Balcony reinforcement at India House, London, affords another example of the use of Firth Staybrite.
Full particulars of tests carried out by the National Physical Laboratories on Firth Staybrite bars for reinforcement purposes are available and will be sent upon request to THOS. FIRTH & SONS, LTD., Sheffield.
