THE CATHEDRAL OF QUIMPER FROM THE EAST
This is one of the most striking views of the cathedral, showing the towers and chevet to the best advantage. The eastern chapel has a square east end which possibly shows English influence. Originally, however, there may have been a rect
angular apse. The traces of an older opening can be seen on either side of the eastern window. The tracery of this window, like that of the clearstory, is in the style of the third quarter of the thirteenth century.
