Ashland, Ala.—F. J. Ingrain, Judge of Probate, will receive bids until March 15 for the erection of a court-house, as per plans and specifications on file in the office of the Judge of Probate, Ashland, and at the office of Charles W. Carlton, architect, Anniston. Ala.
Atlanta, Ga.—It is reported that the members -of the Capital City Club propose erecting a $100,000 building on the site of the present structure.
Atlantic, Ia.—H. Hupp, of Kansas City, Mo., is contemplating erecting a hotel and opera-house here, to cost about $60,000.
Atlantic City, N. J.—President Van Buren Giffin, it is stated, has announced that the erection of a Y. M. C. A. building, to cost $125,000, is contemplated here.
It is reported that the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. will expend $250,000 on improvements for the property it owns at the inlet. The old buildings will be torn down and a handsome fireproof hotel and pavilion erected on the site.
Atwood, Kan.—Harry Robertson, County Clerk, will receive bids until 3 p. m., April 3, for the construction of a court-house, on plans by Eisentraut, Colby, Pottenger Co., architects, Sioux City, la. Separate bids will be taken for plumbing, heating and electrical-work.
Baltimore, Md.—Architects Ellicott & Emmart have been commissioned to prepare plans for the new Roland Park Episcopal Church, to be erected at the corner of Oakdale and Roland Aves.

T homas, 20 Beacon St., have completed plans for a building for the Pennsylvania Railroad at Baltimore, Md. This building will be occupied by the company for its offices. It will cost approximately $100,000.
Baton Rouge, La.—Baton Rouge, Hammond and Eastern Railroad is having plans prepared for the erection of brick passenger station. A, C. Fiske, chief engineer, Hibernia Bank bldg., New Orleans, La.
Berrien Springs, Mich.—The manager of the Oliver Hotel at South Bend, Ind., it is reported, proposes erecting a $50,000 hotel at this place.
Bloomington, Ind.—The County Council, it is stated, is considering the issuing of $100,000 bonds for the purpose of erecting a court-house.
Bovey, Minn.—J. J. Wangenstein, architect, of Duluth, has been engaged to prepare plans for the $50,000 high-school building.
Brooklyn, N. Y.—The Board of Aidermen, it is stated, have adopted a resolution appropriating $500,000 to begin preliminary work on the municipal office building for the Borough of Brooklyn.
Brooklyn, N. Y.—It is reported that a theatre is to be erected at Stone and Watkins Aves., estimated to cost $250,000. Address the United American Realty Co.
Brunswick, Ga.—Bids will be received until April 3 for the erection of Glynn County Court-House, for which Gifford & Betts, New York, N. Y„ were previously reported as preparing plans. Constant Miller is chairman of the building committee.
Chicago, III.—James Burns. Clark and Washington Sts., is completing plans for an
apartment building to be built at Leland and Winthrop Aves., for John S. Holmes, real estate dealer and builder. It will be 3 stories and cost about $70,000.
It is reported that the Chxago Great Western Railroad (G. A. Goodell, Gen. Supt., St. Paul, Minn.) proposes erecting an addition to its freight warehouse in Chicago at a cost of $220,000.
Cleveland, O.—O. H. Burnham, of Chicago, 111., it is stated, has prepared plans for a $6,000,000, union station which is to be erected by the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern, the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis, and the Pennsylvania Railroad companies, G. W. Kittredge, Ch. Engr., Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad, Cincinnati.
Columbia, Pa.—Stearns & Castor, Stephen Girard bldg., Philadelphia, it is stated, have been engaged to prepare plans for an edifice for the Methodist congregation at Columbia, the cost to be about $35,000.
Columbia, Mo.—J. H. Felt & Co., architects, of Kansas City, are now preparing plans for the Boone County Court House, which will cost about $100,000. Bids will probably be called for in about a month.
It is reported that a $50,000 Y. M. C. A. building is to be erected at the State University.
Chapel Hill, N. C.—The University of North Carolina has selected Frank P. Milburn, of Columbia, S. C., as the architect for the new $60,000 library.
Chattanooga, Tenn.—It is reported that a new Southern Passenger Station will be erected in this city to cost $300,000.
Chicago, III.—Architect- W A. Nicholson, 6541 Greenwood Ave., has prepared plans for an apartment building to be built at Calumet Ave. and 60th St. for Charles M. Barickman, of the Chicago Land, Loan and Construction Co. It will be 3-story, 66 x 130 ft. Cost, $80,000.
It is reported that the McNaughton Co., owners of the Windmere Hotel, corner Cornell Ave. and 56th St., will build a fireptpof addition to the hotel to cost $250,000. Architect S. A. Treat will probably prepare the plans.
