A Linotile floor in process of installation in the Colonnade Restaurant, Pittsburgh, Pa.
Linotile—A Real Tile Floor
Linotile is not an imitation of tile. It is tile—made in eleven colors and in separate units—squares and oblongs of different dimensions and strips for borders and interlining joints. It does not come in sheets or set patterns, but is laid, piece by piece, according to the design selected by the architect. Hence, a Linotile floor has that distinctive appearance attainable-only by the use of individual units. As a medium for decorative effect, the wide range of colors and sizes afford the architect practically unrestricted freedom.
Moreover, Linotile is resilient, nonslippery, almost as noiseless as carpet, easy to clean and remarkably durable—a real tile floor that is safe, comfortable and quiet.
Detailed description, specimen designs in full color and complete specifications are contained in the 44-page book, “Linotile Floors,” which will be mailed to architects free of charge. Ask for a sample when you send the book.
