POZZO on Metal Lath
The ideal construction today is stucco on metal lath. Supreme durability and beauty of exteriors are assured where this combination is used.
It is essential that the stucco applied to metal lath shall not contain ingredients that will cause corrosion or rust. Magnesite stuccos can not be successfully used on metal lath, as every Architect knows.
Pozzo is not a magnesite stucco, and every test demonstrates its possibilities for use on metal lath.
“Some two years ago I made a small beam of Pozzo and embodied in this beam two pieces of quarter-inch reinforcing steel. After some 36 hours I took it out of the mold and placed it in a tank of water where it remained for six months. I then took it out and thoroughly dried it on a radiator and broke off a corner of it until I reached the reinforcing bars, and I found them to be absolutely free from corrosion or rust. ” — Report of Edwin H. White, Civil Engineer.
Pozzo possesses a water-resisting imperviousness not equaled by any other stucco, and yet it can be applied to wood lath, hollow tile or brick, as well as to metal lath, with the same absolute certainty that the result will be always — uniformly satisfactory.
Architects may learn all about this superior stucco by writing for booklet, “The Story of Pozzo. ”
