Cascade, Ia.—Rev. T. Roche has had plans prepared by Harry E. Netcott, architect, Independence, la., for a 2-story brick parochial school, 62 x 70 ft. Bids will be taken about March 15.
Charleston, S. C.—The Bureau of Yards and Docks is preparing plans and specifica tions for a 3-story brick and steel building at the Charleston Navy Yard, to be used as a store-house and storekeeper’s office. Amount appropriated is $98,000, and the construction will include plumbing, heating and wiring, but no elevator.
Cheyenne, Wyo. — Bishop J. J. Keane, of the Roman Catholic diocese, states that a cathedral and parsonage will be erected at a cost of $100,000.
Chicago, III.—It is reported that Architect F. Lindquist, 90 Washington St., has completed designs for an apartment house to be built at St. Louis Avé. and Fulton St., to be 3-story building 75 x 106 ft. Approximate cost, $60,000.
Architect Frederick Lindquist is preparing preliminary sketches for an apartment building to be built at 283 to 289 E. Erie St., for Dr. Wm. Bonnar. It will be 8-story, 64 x 88 ft., fireproof, of steel construction: and cost about $100,000.
Architect C. A. Eckstrom, Tacoma bldg., has made plans for a store and office building to be built on Michigan Ave„ near 14th St., for the Heÿworth estate. It will be 3- story, 100 x 150 ft. Cost, $50,000.
Architect L. M. Mitchell, Roanoke bldg., is preparing plans for an apartment building to be built at the northwest corner of Vincennes Ave. and 46th PI., for J. C. Cockburn, builder, 205 E. 44th St., who will take figures. It will be 3-story, 75 x 145 ft. Cost, $75,000.
Architects Jenney, Mundie & Jensen, 171 La Salle street, are preparing plans for a manufacturing building to be built on Douglas Boulevard, between Harvard and Fillmore Sts. It will be 6-story, 110 x 130 ft. Cost, $100,000.
Architects Postle & Mahler, 204 Dearborn St., have been engaged to prepare plans for a hotel to be built at 110 to 114 Madison-St. It will be 15-story, 67 x 199 ft. and cost about $800,000.
The Ravenswood Hospital ..Association will build a hospital and training school for nurses at Winchester and Wilson Aves., Ravenswood. It will be 4-story, 46 x 75 ft. ; cost, $50,000. Architect E. B. puns ton, 501 Robinson bldg., Racine, Wis., is about to let the contracts.
Jos. Beifeld, it is stated, is considering the erection of a $2,000,000 hotel on the site of the present Sherman House at Clark and Randolph Sts.

Architects Huehl & Schmid, 163 Randolph St.,-prepared plans for and is taking figures on a manufacturing building to be built on Green St., near Erie St., for Birk Brothers. It will be 5-story, 40 x 90 ft. and cost $50,000.
Chippewa Falls, Wis.—Plans have been. made by Architects Schick & Roth, La Crosse, Wis., for a Catholic parochial school building and sister’s house to be erected at this city.
Sam Snyder, architect, has completed plans for a hospital building, which will be erected for Mrs. J. D. Bell. It will be of solid brick, 3-story and basement, 34 x 60 ft., equipped with all conveniences. The front of the building will be -of pressed brick with cut-stone trimmings.
Cincinnati, O.—Contracts for the construction of the 18 hospital buildings at Cincinnati were not let, bids being held pending decision of Ohio Supreme Court on Longworth act reguLting bond issues. Samuel Hannafcrd & Son, architects. Hulbert block, prepared plans. Estimated cost, $1,750,000.

The Board of Education, it is stated, has: decided to build a $350,6-00 manual training high school.

Schools) for furnishing material arid erecting an annex to Halle School, work to include masonry, cut stone, carpentry,- sheetmetal work, iron and steel, ventilating andheating, plumbing, sewers and gas fitting, fireproofing, electric wiring, etc. Bids on material and labor to be submitted separately.
Clinton, Ia.—The Masonic Lodge, of Clinton, will build a temple here at a cost, of about $50,000. No architect has been selected.
