Atwood, Kan.—The Eisentraut-Colby- Pottenger Co., it is reported, has been engaged to prepare plans for the court-house, which is to be erected at a cost of about $50,000. It is reported that the contract for the construction will be let about March 20.
Boston, Mass.—It is reported that plans have been prepared for a 300-room hotel building, to be erected by the Sagamore Beach Co. L. D. Litchfield, Needham, architect.
Brooklyn, N. Y.—It is reported that no architect has as yet been selected for the new edifice which the Sixth Ave. Methodist Episcopal congregation will erect on Sixth Ave. It is stated, that several architects have submitted plans for the building, which is to be of brick and stone and will cost about $100,000.
A new edifice for the Church of the Assumption will be erected between Hicks and Henry Sts. at a cost of $250,000.
Buffalo, N. Y.—It is reported that E. M. Statler, who was at-the head of the Inside Inn at the St. Louis World’s Fair, has prepared plans for a 12-story hotel, to be built on Washington St.„ at a cost of $750,000.
Cadillac, Mich.—The Wexford County Supervisors are considering plans for a $50,000 addition to the court-house.
Canton, O.—J. M. Bostick, it is stated, is preparing plans for a residence to be erected on W. Tuscarawas St., for Wm, Rommel. Probable cost, $20,000.
Champaign, III.—Plans have been completed for an auditorium for the University of Illinois. The structure will cost about
$100,000, and contracts for its erection are to be let soon. W. L. Pillsbury, Secretary Board of Trustees, University of Illinois, Urbana, 111.
Charlotte, N. C.—It is reported that Julian H. Little, O. D. Wheeler and C. B. Bryant will erect a 5-story hotel at a cost of $100,000 on site recently purchased.
Chicago, III.—Plans have been completed by Pond & Pond, architects, 21 E. Van Buren St., for the $750,000 telephone and office building for the Chicago Telephone Co.
Geo. O. Garnsey, 185 Dearborn St., is preparing plans for a club-house and ridinggallery, 98 x 200 ft., to be built on 55th St. and Grand Boule., for J. W. Clark. The total cost will be about $75,000.
We are informed that $500,000 has been given for the erection of the George Smith Annex to St. Luke’s Hospital, in this city. Frost & Granger, architects, 184 La Salle St., are reported to be preparing plans.
It is reported that Charles W. Hoff, 79 Dearborn St., contemplates the erection of a $75,000 apartment building on Colorado Ave. between St. Louis and Central Park Aves., to have pressed brick and stone front and composition roof.
Plans are being prepared by Fritz Foltz for an 8-story store and loft building, to be erected at the corner of Indiana Ave. and 26th St., for S. A. Rosenthal, president of Chicago Mail Order and Millinery Co., 355 Wabash Ave. The cost is estimated at $100,000.
It is reported that plans are being prepared by Architects Worthman & Steinbach for a 3-story apartment-house, to be erected on Montrose and Winchester Aves., for W. H. Cochran, at a cost of $75,000.
Henry L. Ottenheimer has completed
plans for a warehouse, to be built at Ohio and Kingsbury Sts., for Kirchheimer Bros. It will be four stories and cost $60,000.
Architects Jenny, Mundie & Jensen are preparing plans for a 1-story building, to be erected at 299 Wabash Ave., by L. Z. Leiter. It will be of steel construction, with foundations substantial enough to carry eight or nine additional stories. It will have terra-cotta, iron and plate-glass front, and is estimated to cost $50,000.
Plans have- been prepared by architect P. J. Weber for a $260,000 apartment-house, to be erected on Elm and La Salle Sts., for L. V. W. Noyes, Rockwell and West 12th Sts.
Cincinnati, O.—Emery’s Sons, it is stated, has applied for a permit to erect a 3 1/2 -story brick and stone apartment house, to cost $150,000.
The Security Bldg. Co., it is stated, has applied for a permit to erect a 7-story brick and stone factory at Pendleton and Dandridge Sts., estimated to cost $75,000, and the Holman Mfg-. Co. has applied for a permit to erect a 3-story factory on Hulbert and Findlay Sts., estimated to cost $50,000.
Plans are being prepared by Architects Joseph G. Steinkamp & Bros., Mercantile bldg., for the erection of a 4-story apartment building, 168 x 205 ft., for the Thos. J. Emery estate, Mercantile bldg. Cost, $125,000.
Boll & Taylor, architects, Walnut and 4th Sts., have completed plans for a 3-story apartment building 100 x 185 ft., for G. W. & J. C. Hollingsworth, care architects. Cost, $100,000.
Architects D. H. Burnham & Co., of Chicago, 111., are preparing plans for an 18- star-y-addition to the bank and office building of the First National Bank. The approximate cost will be $400,000.
The proprietors of the Munro Hotel have purchased a site and will construct an addition to the present hotel building, to cost between $60,000 and $75,000.
