Heflin, Ala. — Charles W. Carlton, of Anniston, Ala., has been engaged to prepare plans and specifications for Cleburne County’s proposed courthouse.
Holyoke, Mass. — Plans are being prepared by Architects Ellsworth & Kirkpatrick for an 18-apartment block for Wm. J. Cray, on the corner of Dwight and Walnut Sts., Holyoke. The building will be of light pressed brick, five stories high, 65 × 150 ft., tar and gravel roof, steam heat, limestone trim, metal ceiling, metal cornice, mantels, marble, etc.
Architect W. G. Lee will have plans ready to figure in a short time for the addition to the First Baptist Church at Elmwood, Holyoke. The addition will be of brick, two stories high, 42 × 54 ft., slate roof, leaded glass, etc.
Hope, Tex. — The School Directors, it is reported, have decided to erect a $50, 000 school.
Hot Springs, Ark. — The School Board is considering the erection of a $100, 000 high-school building. Address Superintendent Cook.

A. building for the railroad men on the site of the present passenger station.

Kansas City, Mo. — The First Congregational and Clyde Congregational Churches, which have been consolidated, it is reported, will erect a $100, 000 edifice. E. E. Holmes is chairman of building committee.
A building permit has been granted the Central M. E. Church South, for the erection of an edifice on nth and Paseo Sts., to be of stone construction. Cost to be $95, 000.
Kearney, Neb. — Work is started for the construction of a $50, 000 building for Kearney Military Academy. J. L. Hershey, of Lincoln, is in charge of the work.
Lenox, Mass. — Borge de Mossin, of New York City, who is connected with the firm of De Cordova Bros., brokers of New York, is attempting to secure a location here for a hotel, and has secured options on several pieces of property. It is reported that it is the purpose of the people interested in this project to erect one of the finest hotels among the Berkshire Hills.
