Alpine, .Tex.—Harvey L. Page, of Austin, is stated to have completed plans for a $100,000 hotel to be erected here by a stock company.
Ann Arbor, Mich.—Jas. H. Wade, Secretary University of Michigan, writes that bids will probably be received in June for the erection of a new building to cost about $125,000. Architects, Donaldson & Meier, Penobscot Building, Detroit.
Atlanta, Ga.—The Methodists are said to be contemplating the erection of a hospftal at Ivy Street and Auburn Avenue, to cjpst $250,000.
Augusta, Me.—It has been announced tiat land adjoining the Augusta post-office bks been acquired upon which to construct an extension to the post-office, for which an appropriation of $150,000 has been made. With the addition the building will have a frontage of 158 feet on Water Street. James Knox Taylor, Washington, D. C., is supervising architect.
Baltimore, Md.—It is reported that the Baltimore Bargain House, Baltimore near Howard Street, will shortly erect warehouse on corner Wicomico, Scott and Stockholm Streets, to cost about $600,000. Joseph Evans Sperry, architect, Calvert Building.
Bartlesville, I. T.—William Johnstone is having plans drawn for a hotel building at the site of the Rightway, Third Street and Johnstone Avenue. The new hotel will be five stories high. It will cost approximately $75,000.
Beatrice, Neb.—A church will be erected by Reverend Father A. Petrash for the St. Joseph’s Parish, Cost, $60,000.
Bellingham, Wash.—The Bellingham Bay Furniture Company is stated to be having plans prepared for an eight-story stone, concrete, steel and brick flatiron building, to be erected at Bay, Champion and Prospect Streets.
Berkeley, Cal.—The Board of Trustees of the University of California is stated to have approved the plans of John Galen Howard, of San Francisco, for the library which is to be erected, at an estimated cost of $S7S,ooo.
Birmingham, Ala.—Reports state that a new $100,000 library will be eretced here.
Bozeman, Mont.—It is stated that plans are being prepared for an $80,000 agricultural building to be erected for the college.
Brooklyn, N . Y.—C. B. J. Snyder, 500 Park Avenue, Manhattan, will soon advertise for figures for the erection of a threestory public school, 160x87 feet, for the city, to be situated on the south side of Eleventh Avenue, between Sherman and Braxton Streets. Estimated cost, about $150,000. Also for a similar structure, four-story, on the north side of Avenue T, between Homecrest Avenue and East Twelfth Street, to cost $180,000.
Plans have been filed for a brick church to be erected at Linden Street and Bushwick Avenue, for the Central United Presbyterian Church, at a cost of $80,000. S. S.

It has been announced at the Borough Hall, in Brooklyn, that the plans of Low & Hawlett for the new $7,000,000 ten-story municipal building to face on Joralemon, Court and Livingston Streets, have been approved by the Municipal Art Commission, and an application will be made soon to the Board of Estimate for funds to start the work. The Polytechnic Institute buildings in Livingston Street are included in the property to be condemned. Their estimated value is about $725,000. It is understood that the new site for the Polytechnic will be on the Eastern Parkway in the vicinity of the Museum of Arts and Sciences. Bird S . Coler is President,. Borough of Brooklyn.
Buffalo, N. Y.—The enlarging of the present City and County Hall at a cost of about $300,000, instead of the erection of an entire new building, is said to be under consideration.
Butte, Mont.—Link & Haire, architects, Silver Bow Block, Butte, have completed the plans for a new five-story Y. M. C. A. building, to be built on Alaska and Granite Streets, at a cost of $240,000.
Calgary, Canada.—It is reported that S. J. Clerks, Chairman Public Works Commission, will receive competitive plans until .May 1 for a City Hall and police headquarters.
Canton, S. D.—Plans have been prepared for the erection of the Norwegian Lutheran church, to cost $30,000.
