The steel interlocking laths are a special shape which makes the shutters a very strong and efficient protection for GARAGES, STORES, WORKSHOPS, WAREHOUSES, & c. These laths have a dignified appearance and are designed to resist corrosion caused by rain or moisture.
The curtain is balanced by a helical steel spring contained in the barrel, the shaft runs on ball bearings, and lifting handles are provided on both sides of the shutter. The shutters can be made any width and Booths specialise on shutters for large and unusual openings. The larger sizes are easily handled, being provided with chain hoist and reduction gearing.
Booths’ Fireproof Shutters are similar to the above but have heavier laths, and are made in accordance with the New Rules of the Fire Offices Committee.
